Dad’s Letter #2
To all our children:
The sun is shining and we’re alive and well. What more can a man ask!
Sadly the year is almost over and all the shopping is done! Oh well girls, there’s always next year!
Jamie is growing older and wiser and Jessica is growing up and more like her every day – there is justice.
Terri got the motherhood prize. With Jacob moving faster and Sara getting smarter she may soon be ready to go back to work.
Kelly is looking forward to her last year of college (we hope). And yes she got the ring. 90 is going to be a big year, God give me strength.
Scott is off to school. Big move and we all are proud of him. The future is bright. Hopefully his history of car problems is over. He’s now on car #? I lost count.
The cabin is almost painted so we expect more visitors next summer. I promise to finish the garage in 1990. One more garage sale should do it.
Is our personal happiness that important? Let’s work on making others happy. What did you do last year to make someone else happy?
Do you have goals? Do you really plan? How about long term? Avoid mistakes. Do your homework. Check your oil and we’ll all be happy.
Go to church – please.
Keep our family loving and together. It’s not a perfect world but we can all help.
Love ya,
Dad
PS: There will be a reward for keeping these valuable letters!
