This Christmas I want to look ahead. I want all of you to look ahead to try to make this the best year for everyone. You might even read some old letters.
Mother and I enjoy assisting our children in every way we can. It’s important to us that you take pride in helping each other to the best of your ability. Real love starts with giving. Give out love and it does come back.
Get real with God. Ask for nothing in return.
No matter how good you are – try to do something for someone every day.
Work to make our growing family better and stronger in every way. Look for ways to enjoy each other.
Plan now for a great 1998. Get something on paper. Teach by example, be the best you can be in every way. Look for the good things in everyone.
We would like you to know our family made a nice donation (which should get our name on the wall) to the new Mission Viejo library. We enjoyed helping – we are blessed with a wonderful family including all the in-laws and out-laws!
Love ya,
Mother and Dad
PS: Check your oil (and) keep with other valuable papers!

1997 Gift
Adopt a Family.
Not every family is as blessed as ours. We have more than our fair share of all our earthly needs.
In the name of our family – our children and grandchildren – Mother and I adopted a Mission Viejo family that is really in need this Christmas season.
The family is without a father. They have 3 children: Johann (age 4) and twin girls Natalie and Jacklyn (age 3).
By accident, Josh stayed overnight with us the night we went shopping, so we had to share with him what we were doing. He helped a lot, and kept the secret – thanks Josh!
The list of wrapped presents were:
Tennis shoes, jacket, socks, toy, book, dinosaur.
Slack set and socks, night gown, tennis shoes, play doh, tea set, beauty set
And we were able to get Mother and Grandmother a couple gifts.
We hope you enjoy this giving as much as we do.
Love ya,
Dad
