2000 Christmas Letter

And 2001 is almost here. Can you dig it! 1999 is the year God dropped little Zackary Thomas on us and he certainly is a delight.

I hope you understand I cry when I write these letters and review the old ones. Time sure flies and we are certainly appreciative of all God’s blessings.

Year 2000 started off with a bang – if you can call it that – with the “Anniversary Cruise” and the now famous line “that poon ship”. I hope everyone will enjoy the memories as much as Mother and I did.

Next year I decided to write you all more letters as I have thoughts to pass on and things I would like for you to remember.

Every once in awhile some one of our children will say “I did a Tom Barber” and that makes me feel good.

You know none of us are perfect and I prove that everyday. However no matter how good we think we are, we can always look to improve.

Money is just a way to keep score. There is more than money to define success. We all seemed to do OK with money last year. Hard work does pay off!

Jamie’s turn to read!

You can also improve on:

  1. Your spiritual efforts
  2. Your family and friends relationships
  3. Your charity work and givings

Speaking of charity – Mother and I did it again – “Adopt a Family”

Jake Hurst went shopping with us for a family with 3 children who are less fortunate than us. Each child will receive toys, clothing and shoes from us all. Jake understands that charity is every bit as important as getting an “A” or hitting a Home Run.

Mother’s retirement has caused me to work harder so we can travel more!

We’ve had a great time this year. Mother works very hard at being a great mother and grandmother.

Dad appreciates all the financial referrals from the kids – keep them coming so we can afford the gifts.

“It’s been a great year”

Dad
