Easter memories from the “Barber kids”!
Terri:
- Easter like other holidays we did the traditional things – growing up I am guessing we did the same things I did with you kids.
- I don’t remember tons but we always got very dressed up for church. Women and girls always wore Easter bonnets (hats) to church.
- Gramma usually dressed us girls in matching dresses but different colors.
- Easter morning we’d always wake up early – find the Easter baskets, go to church, then egg hunts and a special dinner
- Coloring eggs was fun especially with Gramma
- We didn’t worry about the mess – it was gonna be messy no matter what
- We loved hiding your Easter baskets – more challenging as you got older – thus the golden eggs
- We would always go egg hunts and in Arrowhead was a blast with all the big trees to hide them by.
- Gramma loved putting coins in the plastic eggs…..raiding papa’s coin jar poop
