Participation is Vital (TBS #12)

Participation is not only vital, it’s healthy.

Having an idea or an opinion is only good if you are able to learn how to express it properly.

When you do your homework and get the facts right in your mind you have an obligation to express them.

Its not a matter of always being right. It’s a learning process to engage with others to form a proper conclusion.

Speaking your mind is healthy and rewarding. Be thoughtful and understanding of others.

All opinions matter.

Check Your Oil (TBS #11)

Check your oil.

It’s a constant reminder to take care of things.

Often times things get put off. Most things don’t fix themselves.

But, sometimes bad things happen when chores or fixes are delayed for any reason.

It’s a very good reminder to understand at an early age – to not put things off.

“Take care of little things and the big things will take care of themselves”

Practice this early in your lifetime, and receive a lifetime worth of rewards.

Nothing is Done Until It’s Done (TBS #10)

Procrastination is a disease that typically starts at a young age. We can all recall being asked questions like these:

  • Did you make your bed today?
  • Have you brushed your teeth?
  • Did you finish your homework?
  • Have you shined your shoes?
  • Were you on time?
  • Did you take out the garbage?

Any answer other than yes may lead to bad habits and put you on a path headed for the disease of procrastination.

Just get it done! Complete your job. This will lead to a good start on a life that is healthy and rewarding.

Procrastination in any form is curable. Just do it.

Practice getting it done.

Learning to Learn

Some might say you’re never too old to learn. Some might say you’re never too young to learn. Some take longer to find an appreciation of learning. Some say they learned nothing in school that’s productive.

At some point the light goes on, and you realize that learning is a good thing. The more you learn for yourself the better your life will be.

This is a good day for you to learn something of your choice.

Try it – you will enjoy it!

Good learning never stops.

Being Productive

Most every child wants to earn money at a early age. The reason usually has to do with the lifestyle of the family environment. No doubt some children are more fortunate than others. Some have a need for the simple essentials of life i.e. food shelter education. In many cases, its a personal desire to buy some dream items – toys or luxury items.

The process involves an education; of earning the reward through production of work. It’s best to learn early there is no such thing as automatic. Some jobs of the youth such as cutting grass and shovel the snow are rewarded by good efficient production.

Understanding this progress will earn you much monetary benefits throughout your life. Be productive, and everything you do will be rewarding.
